A recent epiphany has shaken me to my core,
and yet everything finally makes sense.
I did not get the level of emotional closeness and emotional intimacy I needed as a child,
so I went about life, not knowing what I needed,
and projecting my unconscious, unfulfilled needs on all the wrong people.
